Lay Ministers

In the old days the priest often acted as a “one man band” – even sometimes playing the organ too! Nowadays however the ministry of every member of the church is important. Lay Ministers have an important role particularly in assisting with the leading of services and administering the chalice.

They may also assist with Pastoral Care, taking Communion to the sick, leading funeral services and generally supporting the priest.

As representatives of the Parish they need to be supportive of the Parish Vision and its policies.

Those fulfilling this role in the English speaking part of the Parish are Anne Mullins, Terrance Subramanian, Pam Moonsamy, Stuart Winckworth, Paul Hindle, Sue Moller and Paula Waller.
